Motivation
Motivation would have to be one of my favourite topics. Yet the word is such a cliché because when you are not motivated it’s not that easy to find your mojo.
So how do you achieve your goals and remain motivated when there is nothing left in the tank?
It really is as simple as showing up. Having a routine and sticking to it is also very important as it removes the opportunity to make choices that could potentially break your routine which in turn will stall your motivation and prevent you from achieving your goals.
Keep daily rituals like walking or stretching. Don’t undo good habits by taking the easier road. On days where you are struggling for motivation commit to doing any kind of activity that will help you to keep moving forward. Doing something is better than doing nothing and it will help your mindset.
I believe we have five seconds in which we make decisions. These are “sliding door moments” that can make or break us. So, keep to your routine and rituals daily so you think less and act more. If you go beyond those five seconds, you are giving yourself an opportunity to take the easier option which will take you away from achieving your goals!
